One thing i don't have is a large budget - so what i try and do is find the things that inspire me, and recreate them on a itty bitty budget! - splurge on some and reinvent with others!
(( ex: wallpaper is expensive = stencil is cheap ; paint does wonders to anything! ))
talk about being inspired! - i'm going to copy-cat this design Mark Chamberlain created!

it's going to go on the back wall in my living room .. *ekkkk* sooo excited!!! .. my friends and family think i'm nuts, but like my Dad has always told me "do what you want, don't think about resale, it's YOUR house" ... so BAM my girlie pad is going in FULL force!
is this not the most ingenious idea EVER! .. my lovey @ P.S. I Love This featured this one day - and i literally stopped what i was doing and told myself i WILL have this in my house! - i have not finish my basement (nor even started the thought of it) - i already have a bathroom down there - so i'm thinking of relocating it inside the stairway - beyond words - anyone else HAVE to have this too?!?!?!
now i know i posted the yellow doors - but just look at these french doors - my ultimate DREAM home, WILL indeed have these - i'll sell my kidney, give up a lung, heck take an arm and a leg! .. some how, some way, in my future - these will be mine! Thanks {this is glamorous}!
yes - i actually painted my ceiling of my porch like the one pictured above! - a lil different of a pattern - it's black and white with swirls - i have 1 purple wall and the rest is glass ... i admit it's not finished - even tho i have scaffolding to do it, it's actually REALLY hard to hold a stencil up and paint - it KILLS your neck and arms - but the end result is amazing !!!!
my other lovey Haute Design featured this window above! ~ and well i pretty much have this same window!! - the back wall in my dinning room features this! - what i did was strip down all the painted wood and used Ralph Lauren silver paint (has real silver in it) and now it looks almost like the one above! ... design on a dime, my friends!
