You Act Funny

SORRY my blog loves i've been MIA .. work has me WORKING .. and well it's a GOOD thing, means more $$$, responsibility's, duties, workloads - time to put the "Big Girl Panties" on now!!!  ..

also Tuesday's for the rest of the summer I'll be watching my Niece, Caitlyn, which mean Tuesday nights i'm out-of-it! .. but in a good way tho!! .. i have a car seat now in my backseat, but i dunno how it'll function, i don't think my backseat was made for anything but me throwing my bag on it - i'll take a pic with Cait in it, i think it'll be HYSTERICAL!!! (but at least we can drive around and go shopping and to different parks and stuff!)

But i will somehow manage to get some posts on here, as well as read ALL of yours!!! - i have some really good ideas for posts - just gotta get them in 'production' mode *teehee*

PS .. if some would take the "identification" thing off their blog, it would be SO much easier to write a comment, NO?!?! - i hate that stupid lil thing, how could i tell the "L" was an "i" and then i sometimes think it publishes and doesn't - i dunno - just a suggestion to the "i have an identification thing set up on my blog" person - teehee

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i was watching a movie last night *A Single Man* (i thought fantastic love story, was a deeeeeep meaning movie for me) - and well it got me thinking - i tend to see a particular actor on the box and automatically think "oh this will be good" - i just associate certain actors with good movies - and well here are some of the actors i'm talking about:
Susan Sarandon
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Natalie Portman
Johnny Depp
George Clooney
Reese Witherspoon
Julia Roberts
Tom Hanks
Morgan Freeman
Sean Connery
Diane Keaton
i saw The Last Station - really good movie too if ur into that stuff - it was about the life of Russian author Leo Tolstoy..
Do you do the same thing? - Gravitate toward movies just b/c a particular actor is in it?
ps .. back to fashion, decor, and exotic locations SOON!
  1. Good morning Erika!
    Two movies that I have missed out on, will have to put them higher on my netflix list.
    Good luck with baby sitting, it sure is demanding and exhausting. Writing this with my little one on the lap!
    But wonderful as well of course:)
  4. Oh I so need to see that movie too! It's on my list. And yes I definitely gravitate towards a movie depending on the actors in it.
    Hope things slow down for you soon. Well actually I guess being busy is a good thing but I know it can be a bit overwhelming sometimes.
    Happy Monday sweetie! xoxo
  5. Oh, agreed on all actors you listed. For example, I loved the book Eat, Pray, Love, but can't say I would want to watch a film of it. However, now that Julia is the star, I'll be there on August 13th sitting in the theater. Congratulations on all of the work and more time with your niece. Enjoy your time and here's to a great week ahead! =)
  6. I absolutely LOVED A Single Man. I loved it so much and it had me thinking about it long after. I think I gravitate towards movies with Meryl Streep or Julianne Moore or Johnny Depp or George Clooney, etc. Also Coen Brothers movies and such.
  13. Erika, I just read your comment on my blog... seriously, if you have a thing for bathrooms you have to see my next post! I do too! LOL I made my husband pick me up so I could look in the little windows on the creepy outhouse at the chasm. :) I'll finish A Single Man tonight on the treadmill... (says the lady shoving a DQ ice cream sandwich into her mouth). And yes, Hot tub Time Machine was a pleasant surprise because it was actually funny - I love Darrell from The Office! XO
  23. i can be very much the same way -- if one of my favorite actors is in a film, there's a really good chance i'll see it, no matter what.
    congrats on your job advancement. mine's on a bit of a roller coaster lately, and it's hard to adjust to constant schedule changes. :( but like you said: big girl pants...;)
    ps - i was trying to be sneaky when i shot the parrot lady...but i think it just turned out to be kind of a crappy photo. ha ha. oh well. it was still BIZARRE.
  25. I do the same thing! I always gravitate towards movies because I like the actor in it.
    I hate the identification thing too! I wish I could take it off of mine, but I started getting really bad spam comments. I haven't since I put the thing up. I wonder if there is another way to fight against spam without the identification thing.
    I hope you have a great week! XO
  26. I'm frequently intrigued by a movie because of its actors (including many of the ones you mentioned)
    I am guilty of the captcha code because I try to avoid spammers best I can. I know, it's kinda annoying though!
