This week we're crushing on plush beds. Not just any old plush beds but the plushest beds we could find. Perhaps we are dreaming of mornings spent lounging in bed, reading, having our coffee and maybe even breakfast in bed if we didn't mind crumbs. Sounds fabulous, right? We want to be spoiled and feel like the princes and princesses all over the world.
The key to a plush, plusher or plushest bed possible seems to be pillows, pillows, and more pillows, good quality linens, feathery down comforters and plush upholstered headboards. An upholstered headboard, padded out with extra pillows makes a super comfy place to lounge. Don’t forget to add soft glowing light fixtures too.
What do you think? Are you crushin' over these plush beds? Is your bed plush or do you dream of a plush bed to call your own?
Here’s a few luxurious examples to get you started:

1000 count Frette linens are pure luxury. Love the classic black trim. We want to sink into the feathery softness of this bed.
COCOCOZY (via)
Love the off white headboard and soft white bedding offset by darker patterned wallpaper—love the wallpaper too!

Can a bed have too many pillows? Is that possible? Love the "Chloe" bedding by Dransfield & Ross from Horchow. The chandelier definitely complements the overall decor of this room.
Laura Britt Design (via)
This bed is like a giant, super comfy wingback chair. Makes us want to curl up with a book or a pile of shelter magazines. Laura Britt Design definitely executes this decor by adding Lucite table lamps as a home accessory.
La Belle Vie Girl (via)
A French style upholstered bed covered in muted tones and glamorous silks is tres chic! Ooh la la!
Veranda (via)
We adore this velvet button-tufted bed with scrolled headboard & footboard. Again, we see the Lucite table lamps being used in this space. So luxe.

A cartouche wood headboard is a simple background for luxury Sferra linens. Another bed we want to jump into.

Button tufted headboards are faves of ours. Whatever the fabric, from velvet to leather, upholstered headboards are definitely plush. This deep purple one is amazing. We absolutely love the colors and textures used in this space.

i'm huge into plush - i'm talking water bed with feather bed on top with lots of fluff! - i love to SINK into a bed - that's heaven for me! - unfortunately for me i'm giving up my water bed (going into the guest room) so i can upgrade to a larger bed - getting a temperpedic with a topper - plus a feather bed on top - i can't wait to sink!
I'd like to say Thank You to Arcadian-Home for this great post! - not to mention the amazing website we can all shop from!!!!

Erika,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for letting us do a guest post on your blog. It looks very lovely :). To answer your question, I LOVE plush beds with lots and lots of pillows. I just love to sink in to one right now since it's so gloomy outside in southern California. Anyway, have a fantastic Thursday!
Cheers!
