I'm not talkin' Spain here!

when i say Barcelona you think Spain, right? - well not me! - i think of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe who designed the 'Barcelona chair' for the king and queen of Spain in the early 1900's! - this chair will be my next and final furniture purchase for my living room - it will complete my 'look' ..

here's why i love it so:


many different designers have recreated this chair - it now is available in many different price brackets, colors, materials, and fabrics .. they have chairs, stools, beds, lounges, tables - all with the same 'design' in mind :o)


HAVE I CHANGED YOUR MIND ABOUT BARCELONA?!


PS - this weekend i did some moving and under a pile of clothes i found 2 diamond necklaces! - SCORE! - sad part about it all, i didn't miss them nor remember them - additionally i think it means i need NO more clothes! - not that i will actually live up to this, since Zara has a few things i'm heading to the mall for tomorrow!  ( what they have on-line and in-store seem to be very different, anyone else feel me on this?!?! )

    The Barcelona chair certainly is pretty cool! And Zara - oh man. I went there on Friday and came out with 2 pairs of shoes for $38. It was awesome. Such good sales going on right now!

    Ha! Love the Spain reference. You are right the Barcelona chair is really chic and old world at the same time. I would love to add this chair to my living room re-decoration, after I am done installing new hardwood flooring....If I only had an unlimited budget! Thanks for sharing these images :)

    I have a white leather Barcelona chair in a corner of my living room and it is a true joy to look at and a privilege to sit in. The comfort is really beyond words!!!
