Tulip

so we all know my love affair with the Panton chair (it was the 2nd piece of furniture i bought for my house, 1st being my dining table) - well i would like to confess my other love affair - the Saarinen Tulip table! - the same friend that had the Panton chair also has a Saarinen tulip table as well!

she literally is THE only person i know, who has the same decor design as I! - *love it* - her place is STUNNING, set atop a mountain overlooking NYC - her children's rooms are out of this world - play room to die for - living room is perfection - her home was completely renovated by an architect and his wife, whom is an interior designer (just to give a little background info) - my friend grew up in Europe and has traveled the world, as her husband has as well - today they have 3 drop dead gorgeous children and the most insane dream home! - in addition she is an amazing cook and sweetest most giving women you'll ever meet!

of course the original Saarinen Tulips are $$$ - but i got word from a mutual friend that they have a 'tulip' table in IKEA! - yes IKEA .. i need to check this out - b/c i would LOVE to get a tulip table for my back room - of course with the tulip chairs too!

ARE YOU A FAN OF EURO SARRINEN DESIGNS ?!?!


his original designs can be pricey - but he has made such an impact that many companies are making "tulip" tables and chairs to recreate his essence of design - at much more affordable prices :o)


ARE YOU A TULIP KINDA' PERSON?!

    not carried away with pics -- i loved them all!!

    I am so a Tulip kinda person as well as a big fan of Saarinens work all in all. I love the marble tulip table and Panton chairs could never be wrong either!

    i am a fan of the tulip table! we have the sarrinen tulip in our dining room...it's clean, modern and fits in with everything so easily.
