for the past 2 days it has been flurrying in Jersey - which is good - b/c no shoveling or anything, but the essence of the holidays have arrived!
my Dress Form = 'Christmas Tree"
(taken with iPhone, so it's doesn't look as fab as it does in real life)
So lovey butterflies - here above is my dress form 'tree' .. *ick* i know u can still see 1 of my construction permits (there are many) on the window - no curtains yet - no alot of things yet - but i'm getting there - and yes i have the old heaters plus forced hot heat (my dad thought it was some grand idea to have 2 heating systems, "just in case" - yea i know, it's Jersey not Antarctica!) !!
Hopefully when i host Christmas this year (still working on my menu, which i realized i don't even have salt, my fridge is just full of beer and vodka, and i have a cabinet full of dessert wines) i will have lots of pics to show what i have done with the place ;o) - i'm very proud of myself! - last weekend i cut and installed my shelving in my bathroom closet - this girl right here knows how to use power tools :o)
PS - my color theme for Christmas is purple, blue, silver, and lil dashes of red :o)
my Christmas dinnerwear is light blue and silver
My Life:
mom is doing great! - cancer did NOT spread to lymph nodes - which is great news - of course she is sore and hurts - but otherwise she's fantastic! - i'm exhausted! - truly and utterly exhausted still! - but a lady in one of the waiting rooms (mom had a zillion more tests and were all over the hospital before the actual surgery) reminded me that saying "it can't get any worse" is NOT what to say, because it can! - her daughter, no older then I, was there that day for the same reason as my Mom, she had breast cancer! - true life lesson - take 1 day at a time - live the life you wanna live - have no regrets - surround yourself with the people who care - and don't put out any negative energy in the universe, it can come back to bite you!

Erika darling, it´s so nice to learn that the cancer hasn´t spread to the lymph nodes. I bet that´s a great Xmas present for you (and your sweet mother). Hope you have some time to rest this weekend. And by the way...the contents of your fridge are just fine in my opinion.
