devastating news last night - my Mom's best friend who happens to be an oncologist has been given her slip - she has 3 months to live - her husband last year got in a car accident and from that accident they found out HE had cancer (he was a doctor too) - Mr. Lee passed over a year now, he was just such a nice guy! - known him since i was like 10! - it's always weird to see Ms. Lee and not her hubby - still sad over that!
back to Ms. Lee not only did she find out she had breast cancer, got a double mastectomy, her husband passes away suddenly from cancer - all her heartache, all the chemo, all the radiation, the healthy diet, taking care of her disable son, ect - this "cancer" has no discriminatory targets
cancer doesn't care who you are, what you look like, how old you are, the color of your skin, how smart you are, how much money you do or don't have, if you have goals in life you want to accomplish - cancer is the devil on earth! - just when u reach the summit, cancer has it's way to sneak in and ruin that precious moment!
For all the pre-vivors, survivors, those who have past - my love to you all!
my hearts for everyone of you!
For all the pre-vivors, survivors, those who have past - my love to you all!
my hearts for everyone of you!
I ask YOU all, my blog friends, my Butterflies
PRAY for Ms. Lee!
Erika....all I can say is I'm terribly sorry for your mom's best friend and her entire family. This is an incredibly sad story, yet there is something to learn from all of this...i don't know what, but there is.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for her. xo

That is just awful. We just had a 35 year old friend die on his 1st wedding anniversary from cancer. I'll be praying for your family & your friend. Cancer SUCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteGoodness this is heartbreaking. I cannot cannot imagine what she must be going through. Prayers to her.
ReplyDeleteSo horrible, it shocks me when I hear how unfair "life" can be. Why??? It doesn't make sense to me, and anyone who says "it makes us stronger" just says that because they think there has to be a reason. But really, there isn't. It just IS. I'm SO sorry.
ReplyDeletei don't really know what to say. i read this earlier but i never go to comment on it because i didn't know what to say. it's true that cancer doesn't care who you are. which reminds me that illness doesn't care who the heck you are.
ReplyDeletethe irony of this is, a blogger friend wrote a sad entry a while ago. it was about how heartbroken she is because her favorite boss passed away due to a heart attack. guess what he was? a cardiologist :/ i hope you feel better. i will pray for you and ms. lee
