i kick myself in the butt SO many times - b/c my parents use to have furniture that i thought was 'old and needed to be thrown away' - long behold if i kept it, i would have ALL of it in MY house! - i can get myself depressed just thinking of what 'could have been' - *augh*
check some great spaces out - with retro furniture
HAVE YOU EVER THROWN SOMETHING OUT ON TRASH DAY AND TOTALLY REGRET IT LATER?!
i knew i should of listened to my Mom - she would always say "don't throw that away, that can be worth something" - and sure enough - she was right!
Oh gosh I am always feeling that way, especially with my mom's stuff. She got rid of a lot of her old clothes and well a lot of vintage looks are making a comeback.
ReplyDeleteI went through this too. When my dad sold our house he asked if I wanted anything. I said noway. Now I'm always caught asking, "what happened to this..." "what happened to that" sigh is right!
ReplyDeleteps I have a giveaway. Stop by!

These really are some great pieces! I understand the feeling - mainly my mom's handmade clothes from the 70s and such. So many great pieces she had that I played with as a kid but got over before I should have!
ReplyDeleteI agree, but also there are things that need to be thrown away to avoid clutter! It's a tough call on what to keep and what to toss.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've given away many pieces of clothing I regret ever parting with!
ReplyDeleteGreat spaces love the casual lounge with the hammock great retro vibe
ReplyDeleteOh yes, many many times but there is a fine line between saving and hoarding :)
ReplyDeleteA few things I still could kick myself for as well though.
Wow, I feel your pain!!!!

i love these photos! and yes i've regretted throwing things out. I'm normally a "less is more" type of gal where I tend to prefer open space over possessing lots of things so it's increased my likelihood of regretting the MANY things i've tossed out!
ReplyDeletelove your post!

Definitely- I have regretted so many things and yet I purge, purge, purge. I can't help myself. I will store something for a short time and then it goes out the door.
ReplyDeleteyes but I have also found some great stuff on the curb that I am happy others threw out!
ReplyDeleteI always try to get rid of old stuff when I bring something new home. But then, yep, sometimes I regret it later! Love these pics!
ReplyDeletetell me about it, I would have kept all of my parents' and grandparents' furniture, but that will mean I need two houses, haha. Nice inspirational images.
