Tub-a-licious

i'm REALLY upset right now! - i love my tub i purchased for my house - but if i knew i could have a CLEAR tub, ummmmm I so would have! - i'm terribly jealous right now!

WHAT'S YOUR TAKE?!

Mom Update:
i spent all day with my Mom yesterday - she's hallucinating and in "la-la-land" (surgeon came to visit and said it's normal, just let her enjoy herself) - it's upsetting and hysterical at the same time - her eyes want to be always closed but she forces them open - she has to go to rehab after they release her from the hospital too - b/c of her server neuropathy from the chemo and now these 2 surgeries - she no longer can hold her weight and her motor functions are way off - so it's gonna be some time before i get my Mommy back home! - i gotta say i lost my sh*t yesterday - seeing my Mom like this is like seeing just an empty shell - it's not my Mom yet! - for one reason or another, yesterday just broke me - i cried and cried - Thankfully my lovebug (Adri) came over last night and we had a StellaR night :o) - as bad as things can be, they can be just so amazing as well

  8. yep, i'd TOTALLY have that tub.

so sorry to hear that your mom's out of it. my dad was completely messed up in the days immediately following his stroke. it's unbelievably upsetting to see your parent like that, even if you know it's only temporary.

anyway, thinkin about ya and sending hugs. <3

  11. I like the idea of a clear tub but you'd see every speck of grime on it, you'd have to clean it every day!

It must be so hard seeing your mom like that. Erika, my Grandma's in the hospital and she was in so much pain last week she couldn't move. She was doped up on morphine and pain killers, she couldn't even swallow water. It was so hard seeing her so helpless and in so much pain. (She was crying out for her mother who's been dead for 35 years.) We thought she was leaving us, we even had the priest come to give her her last rites but she's a tough cookie, they diagnosed her and know how to treat her and now she's sitting up in a chair and able to move. It's going to be a slow process but we're hoping she's on the mend. I think it will be the same for your mom - it's gonna be hard but she'll recover. She's one strong woman! Just take it day by day. You'll see! She'll be back to her old self soon. Hang in there!

    xoxo

  24. I just want to say I love you Erika!! As nuts as that sounds I truly mean it. You are so incredibly upbeat and honest -- even when you're having a breakdown. Girl that's your THING!! Seriously.

  25. It sounds like all of this is temporary with your Mom but it is still hard, and I imagine frightening, to see her in this state. Some day hopefully will chuckle with her over all the silly things she did when she was out of it.
On a lighter note, that might just be the coolest tub I've ever seen!! xo
